A self-service blockchain infrastructure checkout, from discovery to go-to-market.
A blockchain infrastructure provider sold everything manually, quotes, provisioning, onboarding, with no self-service path and no coherent pricing model. We took it from discovery and pricing strategy through UX research, design, architecture, engineering delivery, customer migration, and a legally and security signed-off go-to-market launch, cutting new client onboarding from days down to minutes.
Days → Minutes
New client onboarding time, end to end
Pricing catalogue
Strategy through to a live pricing engine
Customer migration
Existing customers moved with zero downtime
Legal, security & GTM
Signed off and launched alongside the build
The challenge
Every purchase, a manual process.
Every blockchain infrastructure purchase went through a manual quote, provisioning and onboarding process. There was no self-service path, no consistent pricing model, and no UX anyone had actually designed, just a sales process that didn’t scale and got slower as the customer base grew.
The client wanted a proper checkout: research-led UX, a pricing catalogue that held together commercially, and blockchain infrastructure architecture that could actually support self-service provisioning. And the existing customer base still had to be moved onto it without disrupting a live blockchain infrastructure business.
None of it could ship without legal and security sign-off, and a technical release without a go-to-market plan behind it would have landed the same way the old process did: quietly, to nobody.
Our approach
Six workstreams. One team, discovery to launch.
We stayed on the same team from the first discovery conversation through pricing, design, architecture, delivery, migration and launch, so the commercial thinking, the UX, and the engineering never drifted apart.
01
Discovery & pricing strategy
Worked through the client's ambitions for a self-service blockchain infrastructure checkout from first principles: the overall pricing strategy and commercial model, and UX/UI research mapping how customers actually needed to buy.
02
UX/UI, wireframing & design
Mapped customer buying journeys, wireframed the checkout and account flows, and took them through to full UI design, grounded in the research rather than assumption.
03
Pricing catalogue & blockchain infra architecture
Built the pricing catalogue as a structured, extensible model rather than a spreadsheet, and designed the blockchain infrastructure framework and solution architecture it needed to run on.
04
Project management & engineering delivery
Owned delivery end to end: engineering the platform against the architecture and designs, with project management holding scope, timeline and stakeholders together through to launch.
05
Customer migration
Migrated the existing customer base onto the new platform, moving them off legacy pricing and manual provisioning and onto the new self-service checkout without service interruption.
06
Legal, security sign-off & go-to-market
Took the platform through legal and security sign-off alongside the build, then ran the go-to-market campaigns that launched it to customers, rather than treating launch as an afterthought.
The outcome
Onboarding in minutes, not days.
The product went from discovery to a live, self-service checkout, cutting new client onboarding from days down to minutes, with the existing customer base migrated across and a go-to-market launch behind it.
A self-service blockchain infrastructure checkout taken from initial discovery through to a live, customer-facing product
A pricing strategy and catalogue built as a structured, extensible model, not a one-off spreadsheet
UX/UI research and wireframing that shaped the checkout and account flows around how customers actually buy
A blockchain infrastructure framework and solution architecture designed to support the pricing and provisioning model long-term
New client onboarding cut from days to minutes, self-service through the checkout instead of a manual quote-to-provisioning cycle
The existing customer base migrated onto the new platform with zero service interruption
Legal and security sign-off delivered alongside the build, not bolted on after the fact
A go-to-market campaign that launched the product properly, not just a technical release
We had pricing on a spreadsheet and a sales team doing every provisioning step by hand. Onboarding a new client took days. DOD took it from that starting point through research, design, a proper pricing catalogue and architecture, and got it down to minutes, migrated our existing customers onto it, then helped us launch it properly.
